By offering affordable housing solutions and innovative financing options, we aim to remove the barriers that often prevent middle-class individuals and families from owning a home.
But our mission extends beyond affordable housing. We are also here to support the average American in other meaningful ways. Through our charity initiatives, we provide direct assistance to those in need, including teachers, nurses, veterans, and other groups identified by MCU members.
One of the core principles of our charity efforts is the quarterly charity vote, where MCU members have the opportunity to decide where our charitable contributions will be directed. This democratic approach ensures that our giving reflects the values and priorities of our community, empowering members to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

The inception of MCU began with a vision to establish a hedge fund/private equity model. However, regulatory constraints posed challenges to this approach. Undeterred, we embarked on a quest for a viable alternative that aligned with our core values of direct democracy, member ownership, and to become a not for profit.
